From Route 22 East
Through Green Brook into North Plainfield. Approximately 1/2
mile beyond Rock Avenue intersection look on right for Honda
dealership, and just thereafter, overpass sign saying "Watchung
Avenue Next Right." Take this right and follow the jug
handle sign saying "Watchung VA Hospital" to traffic
light at base of overpass - Watchung Avenue (there is another
sign here that says "Watchung VA Hospital"). Turn left
onto Watchung Avenue which blends into Somerset Street,
continuing about 3/4 mile (past Town Yard building) to traffic
circle. At circle, use detailed map provided.
From NJ Turnpike
Take exit 10 to Route 287 North, follow 287 to exit marked "Dunnellen, Route 529." Take Route 529 North (the street name changes, but it is always designated as 529N) about 4 miles to Route 22 (a major intersection). Turn right onto Route 22 East and continue using the Route 22 East instructions above.
From Garden State Parkway
At the Raritan River Bridge follow signs for Route 287 North. Take Route 287 to exit for "Dunellen, Route 529." Continue as per Route 529 instructions under New Jersey Turnpike above.
From Route 22 West
Proceed toward North Plainfield. Approximately 1 1/4 mile beyond the Terrill Road intersection and shortly after the intersections of North Drive, look on your right for Ray's Sport Shop followed by a Raceway station. A sign on the corner by the Raceway prior to the overpass says "Watchung VA Hospital." Turn right at sign directly onto Watchung Avenue, which blends into Somerset Street, continuing about 3/4 mile (past Town Yard building) to traffic circle. AT circle, use the detailed map provided.
From Route 78 East
Proceed to Exit 40 "The Plainfield, Watchung, Gillette." At the end of the ramp, turn right toward "Watchung, the Plainfields" and go down Hillcrest Road to the bottom of the hill. Turn right into the traffic circle and use the detailed map provided.
From Route 78 West
Proceed to Exit 40 "The Plainfield, Watchung, Gillette." Follow the instructions given under Route 78 East, above, except to make a left turn at the end of the map.
